Brough Law Fell Race

Traditionally held in mid March and one of the first fell races of the season.  Set in the beautiful Breamish valley, in the heart of the Northumberland National park, it’s a great AS (short and steep) fell race, 5 miles, 1500ft elevation with 2 challenging climbs, before a fast downhill run home.   A great race for those wishing to get into fell running as well as challenging the more experienced runners.

The Breamish valley has an amazing concentration of prehistoric hill forts and iron age burial sites dating back to 4000bc.  The race itself passes four of the hillforts and two burial cairns, which are well worth a more leisurely detailed look.

Good car parking and toilets at the start and a lovely cafe in the nearby Ingram Village.

Only 45 mins from Newcastle and Kelso.
